AITA for telling my brother he can't propose at my crag the same weekend as my big send?
ok so my brother Dylan (29M) wants to propose to his girlfriend Mara (28F) at Devil's Tower next month, on the exact weekend i've been holding out for a weather window on my project route i've trained for over a year. i told him find another spot or another weekend because this send needs specific conditions, i cant just reschedule the wind lol. he says im being selfish, it's "just one day," but ive already bailed on two other trips to save this window. mom is losing it in the family group chat saying im choosing a rock over my brothers happiness. my sister (26F) actually backed me saying dylan shouldve checked with me first since i basically live at that crag half the year in the van. dylan isnt talking to me now, mara has no clue any of this is happening, and the proposal date is in 19 days. i feel bad but i also trained way too hard to just hand my whole season over for one day 🧗
