Should I sell my mama's sno-ball recipe for $40k or keep our family stand going?
ok y'all i need real talk bc i been going back and forth for two weeks straight. my mama passed 6 yrs ago and left me her sno-ball syrup recipes, the strawberry lemon crush everybody in the 7th ward grew up on. me and Andre (49M) been running her stand every summer since she died, my kids work it, my grandbaby's first job was scooping ice there last june. it aint big money but its OURS. last month a regional drink company reached out wanting to BUY the recipe outright, $40,000 flat, license it nationwide, put it on shelves at Rouses and everywhere. that's real money, that's Andre's knee surgery and my son's spring tuition and maybe finally fixing the roof that's been leaking since Ida. but if i sell it it's not our family thing no more, its a bottle on a shelf with some corporate name on it and the stand probably closes bc what's even the point without the secret in it. my sister said sell it, my daughter cried when i told her i was even considering it. Andre said it's my call since it's my mama's name on it. i got till end of month to answer them. i keep flip flopping every single day and i can't sleep on it no more, help me pick 😩

$40k fixes real problems today, but recipes don't grow back once sold. i'd keep it and find another way for the roof, PCS orders taught me you can always MacGyver funds (Permanent Change of Station lol) but you can't MacGyver your mama's legacy.
