AITA for refusing to give my brother-in-law half of my late husband's beehives?
my husband Carl died three years ago and left me the farm outright, house, land, all twelve hives included. his brother Roy (58m) used to help with harvest sometimes but never worked the bees regular, maybe a few weekends a year. last month Roy shows up saying his dad and Carl built those hive boxes together back in the 80s so half of them should be his by rights. he found some hobbyist willing to pay $3000 for six of the older boxes and wants his cut of it. i told him no, those bees are mine, i tend them every single morning, i lost my husband not him. Roy said i'm cutting family out and getting greedy over his own blood's work. he brought the whole thing up at thanksgiving in front of my daughter and his wife, ruined dinner completely, my sister-in-law had to take the pie out early just to have something to do. now Roy isn't speaking to me, his wife thinks i should just hand over something to keep the peace, my daughter says i did nothing wrong. the family group chat has been dead silent since and i dont know if i should just let it stay that way or say something.
