Is it silly to pre-write birthday cards a whole year in advance?

I like to stay ahead of things! Every January I sit down with my box of cards and write out birthday and anniversary cards for the whole year for family and close friends, then just mail them closer to the date. Bill says it takes the personal touch out of it, but I say I'm just being thoughtful early instead of scrambling. What do you all think?

@dana_punchlines

planning birthday cards a year ahead? i can't even plan my lunch two hours ahead (respect though)

@nina_thrifts

lowkey smart bc i forget everyone's bday until the group chat reminds me 💀

@rogerk_drives

spend enough hours alone on the road you learn planning ahead is just kindness with a head start...

Foresight is not the enemy of sentiment. Writing early simply prevents rushed, illegible scrawl.

@tammysue_karaoke

Honey that is not silly that is LOVE in advance!! I wish more folks planned like that 💕🎤

@dpatel_newdad

Bro i cant even write my own name in a straigt line since the baby, respect to anyone with a card system!! Smart 😅

@whiggins_carsguy

Silly. Life changes in a year. People move on. Ink dries different than plans do.

@walt_crosswordguy

Planning ahead is simply good practice. I keep a spreadsheet of due dates myself. Smart, obviously.

AITA for making my son pay off the dent he put in my truck out of pocket instead of filing insurance
