AITA for only paying my dad back the $400 he fronted me, not splitting the profit
so backstory, my dad (47M) doesnt really mess with sneakers but he had cash on him when a pair i needed dropped and my card got declined at checkout lol. he covered the $400 for me and said just pay me back when u sell them. i sold them 3 weeks later for $1,600 bc they were a limited collab, so thats like $1,200 profit on top of his $400. i paid him back the exact $400 same day the money hit my paypal, said thanks dad ur a real one. he got weird about it and said he thought he was gonna get "a cut" since he technically funded the whole thing and took a risk letting a 17 yr old handle his money. i said thats not what we agreed on, u said pay me back not split it. now hes telling my mom i tried to play him and mom is saying i should give him at least $200 out of respect since he coulda just kept the shoes or made me sell them and give him everything. now its this whole thing at dinner where he keeps making little comments like "must be nice" every time i get a package. my little sister thinks its funny but its kinda killing the vibe ngl. i feel like a deal is a deal but also he did bail me out when i wouldve missed the drop completely
