okay so i (29F) plan weddings for a living, i have a whole spreadsheet system for RSVPs down to the seating chart 📋✨ so when i saw an unfamiliar RSVP come through on OUR wedding website last week i about had a heart attack. it was my aunt Fernanda (54F), my mom's older sister who i haven't spoken to since she showed up drunk to my college graduation and said some genuinely nasty stuff about my dad in front of everyone. we cut contact almost 10 years ago and i NEVER put her on my guest list, my mom (58F) knows this. turns out my mom quietly added her, got her flight info from Portugal locked in, the whole thing, without telling me because "she's still family and blood is blood" 😭 i found out through the WEBSITE not even from my mom directly. i called her crying, told her if Fernanda comes i am not having her walk me down the aisle like we planned. she says i'm being dramatic and ruining her one chance to fix things with her sister on MY big day. now she's not speaking to me, my cousins are in the family group chat saying i'm punishing my mom for trying to heal old wounds, and even my fiancé thinks i overreacted by pulling the walk down the aisle thing. i just feel like she went behind my back for someone who genuinely hurt me. AITA??
