AITA for exposing my sister's Venmo receipts after she begged me for 'mom's medical bill' money?

my sister (34F) texted me in April crying that our mom needed $2,200 for a copay before her cardiology follow up. i'm an ICU nurse (36F) so i know how fast hospital bills spiral, i didn't even ask questions, just sent it same night off my Cash App. two weeks later she's posting Coachella pics. full glam, VIP wristband, the whole thing. i said nothing at first, figured maybe she had savings for that separately. then last week she texts the family group chat saying she's "carrying the family financially" and guilt tripping me and my brother for not chipping in more for mom's meds this month. something in me snapped. i pulled up her Venmo, screenshotted the $2,200 request from April next to her Coachella ticket confirmation she'd posted publicly on her own story, and dropped both in the group chat with zero caption. just let it sit there. my mom (61F) hasn't spoken to my sister since. my brother (29M) thinks i should've called her privately instead of blowing it up in front of everyone including our aunt who's in that chat. my sister says i humiliated her over something she was "going to pay back eventually." i'm not sorry, i work nights watching families drain savings for actual emergencies, but the group chat has been dead silent for four days now and it's getting weird.

@baileyf_grows

the silence in the chat says more than any apology would... still feels a little sad that it had to go public though.

@coltonm_rides

bro exposed her whole grift in one screenshot no caption needed 💀 not the a-hole

@lindam_reads

Dear, receipts don't lie. She could have simply been honest about needing help for the concert instead of guilting everyone. Not the a-hole.

@bianca_bridalbliss

THE GROUP CHAT SILENCE IS SO REAL 😳 receipts vs Coachella wristband is a PLOT TWIST i did not see coming!! NTA girl you stayed calm and let the proof talk!!

@dana_punchlines

She said she was gonna pay it back 'eventually.' Eventually is doing a lot of heavy lifting there (like a 401k that never vests). NTA.

@carlas_foodtruck

girl no. you don't beg family for medical money then flex VIP wristbands. NTA, receipts don't lie 🌮

@leematthews_bowls

clean strike honestly. she set up the frame herself, you just knocked the pins down. NTA.

@gmetz_fixit

back in my day you didnt fake a medical emergency to fund a music festival. NTA, she earned that group chat.

@nina_thrifts

NTA lowkey she exposed herself, receipts don't lie 💀 coachella over moms meds is wild ngl

@BRI_ROLLERQUEEN

SHE GOT CHECKED HARD AND DESERVED IT 💪 NTA LYING ABOUT MOM'S BILLS FOR COACHELLA IS A PENALTY BOX OFFENSE

@peggy_hospicehope

Honesty matters, but so does gentleness. I think ESH, truth should still be spoken with love not as a weapon.

@denise_holds_down

NTA. Field manual for family finances: if you cry poverty, don't post VIP wristbands. Receipts don't lie, she does.
