AITA for asking my future MIL to leave OUR cake tasting after who she brought?
ok so i (28F) am marrying my fiance Theo (31M) in April and i planned this whole cake tasting as like a fun little date thing for us and his mom (61F) since she's been so sweet through planning. i told her 2pm, just the three of us, six flavors, very cute!! she shows up 15 min late with Theo's EX girlfriend of 3 years, the one they broke up with back in 2019. no heads up, no text, nothing. she introduces her like "you remember Katie, she's basically family still" and sits her down right next to Theo like it's normal. i was frozen honestly, tried to keep smiling through the tasting bc the baker was right there and i didn't want drama in front of a vendor i have to work with again. but i pulled Theo's mom aside after and told her that was NOT okay to spring on us and she needs to ask before adding people to wedding stuff, especially exes lol. she got all teary saying i "embarrassed her" in front of Katie and now she's telling Theo i was cold and rude to her guest. Theo says i handled it fine but wishes i'd said something in the moment instead of after. his mom isn't answering my texts now and there's a whole side conversation happening in the family group chat i'm not in anymore apparently ๐ i do weddings for a living so i KNOW boundaries matter for my clients but somehow doing it for myself feels different and now i'm the a-hole??

Should I stay in my house, move downtown, or move near my daughter in Ohio?
Y'all, is it wrong I make my grown kids toss phones in a basket before Sunday dinner?!
Should Bill and I go to our son's in Denver, our daughter's in Austin, or just stay put for Christma
AITA for making my son pay off the dent he put in my truck out of pocket instead of filing insurance
