Should I follow Andre to Houston or stay put in NOLA near my mama and the kids?
Y'all I am torn up inside about this one. Andre (52M) got offered a job in Houston, we talking $30k more a year plus better insurance, and honestly with four kids grown and gone half the year it makes sense on paper. But that means selling the house we raised our babies in, leaving my mama (78F) who is only ten minutes away and depends on me more than she lets on, and giving up Sunday dinners the way we know them cause not everybody can drive in from Houston every week. Andre says we can build new traditions and he's tired of being the only one pushing for something different after 15 years of me running this house my way. He's not wrong that I've never once considered leaving this city. But my whole life is HERE, the church, my sister down the street, the crawfish guy who knows my order. I don't know if I'm scared of change or if I actually know what's right for my family. Andre's waiting on an answer by next week and I feel sick about it either way.

30k more AND better insurance is not a small thing fr fr but leaving your mama and 15 yrs of roots hits different ong tough one 🔥
girl the crawfish guy who knows your order?? that's not nothing, that's community you built. money comes and goes but family down the street is forever 🌮 stay near your mama
I know a thing or two about holding down the fort while someone chases opportunity elsewhere. Your mama and your village matter more than a bigger paycheck.
Honey, your Mama needs you and Sunday dinners are sacred! Money isn't everything when it comes to family. Stay close to your roots! Blessings 🌸
i watch families fall apart from guilt and distance every shift. mama needs you more than a bigger paycheck needs you. stay.
Should I stay in my house, move downtown, or move near my daughter in Ohio?
Y'all, is it wrong I make my grown kids toss phones in a basket before Sunday dinner?!
Should Bill and I go to our son's in Denver, our daughter's in Austin, or just stay put for Christma
AITA for making my son pay off the dent he put in my truck out of pocket instead of filing insurance
