should i take a six week guiding job or stay home and risk the back taxes
county wants 2400 by march or they start proceedings on the land. i dont have it sitting around, i live off what i grow and shoot, cash is not really a thing i keep on hand a guy from town, does outfitting for out of state hunters, offered me six weeks leading groups through november into december. pays enough to cover the taxes plus some. but it means leaving the cabin empty that long, missing my own season, and answering to a schedule that isnt mine for the first time in eight years part of me thinks this is exactly the trap i left town to avoid. work for someone else so you dont lose the thing you built by working for yourself. the other part knows a tax auction doesnt care how self sufficient i am no phone out there most days so i wont see the vote for a while but i want it decided before i have to answer him
