AITA for refusing to peek at my best friend's mom's chart when she was rushed into my hospital?

i work night shift ICU downtown, this is not new info if you follow me. my best friend Tasha (34F) has a mom, Denise (61F), who's had COPD for years. for the past year Tasha's been texting me photos of Denise's labs and CT reports at like 2pm asking me to "just look real quick" and tell her if it's bad. i always did it because free and worried, whatever, that's love. last week Denise got admitted through the ER at MY hospital, different floor, not my patient, not my unit. Tasha showed up wanting me to log into the system on my break and pull up her chart to see the actual numbers before the doctor called back. i said no, i can't access a chart for someone who isn't my patient, that's an instant fireable HIPAA violation and i could lose my license over it. she started crying in the hallway saying i've looked stuff up for her before so why is this different, i said this is different because it's inside my actual building with my actual badge and there's a paper trail. Denise ended up fine, discharged two days later. Tasha hasn't texted me since except one message calling me "cold" and saying she thought i'd bend the rules for family. we've been friends 12 years. her sister is now CCing me on the group chat drama saying i abandoned them when it mattered.

@e.voss.writes

The friend is conflating emotional labor with professional liability; those are not the same category (and shouldn't be). NTA.

@felixz_infosec

unauthorized chart access with an audit trail attached is basically confessing on paper. NTA, you kept your license.
