ok so this is stressing me out SO much 😭 a bigger event company reached out and wants to buy a 20% stake in my wedding planning business for $40k, which would basically let me hire an assistant planner and finally stop turning away clients during peak season!! but here's the catch, they need the money THIS month and the only way i can match my half of the investment is dipping into the $12k me and my fiance Marcus (31M) have saved for OUR wedding over the past 3 years 😩 i'm 29F and i've built this business from literally nothing, just me and a canva account and a dream, so this feels like the moment i've been working toward. Marcus says he supports me but i can tell he's hurt bc we already pushed our wedding once for a client emergency and this would mean pushing it AGAIN, maybe to next spring, and downsizing our guest list bc we won't have the cushion we planned for. my mom thinks i'm insane to gamble our wedding for a business deal, my best friend thinks i'd be insane NOT to. i keep going back and forth at 1am doing math in my notes app lol. do i take the leap on my business or protect the wedding we've been dreaming about since we got engaged?? 💍✨
