AITA for still texting my ex-wife tornado warnings after her new husband told me to knock it off
me (43M) and Denise (41F) split up three years ago, no kids, mostly clean breakup. she remarried last spring to a guy named Trevor (44M) who seems fine, i've got no beef with him. problem is Denise never changed her habits during severe weather, she grew up in Moore during the '99 outbreak and she straight up does not trust the tv mets, she trusts me because i chase and i've talked her through three different warnings over the years including one where she ended up in her bathtub with a mattress over her. last tuesday there was a tornado warning on her exact county, rotation showing on radar, and i texted her the way i always do, told her to get to the lowest interior room right now. Trevor apparently saw it and lost it, texted me himself saying i need to stop contacting his wife period, doesn't matter what it's about. Denise texted me an hour later, storm had passed, saying she's sorry but can i please just stop, it's causing fights at home. then last night there was another warning on her area at 11pm and i sat there watching the couplet tighten up on radar and i texted her anyway. she didn't respond. Trevor apparently found it this morning and now she's not really talking to me and he's telling mutual friends i'm still trying to insert myself in her marriage. i genuinely don't care about the marriage, i care that she doesn't die in a trailer park bathroom. AITA
What People Are Saying
NTA you're basically her SAFETY COACH not her husband!! Trevor needs to chill and get his own radar app 💪
Get her a weather radio. Solves it clean. Not your job anymore, son.

Should I accept a dinner invitation from a woman in my book club or stay home?
is it weird to still use the mug my ex gave me for coffee every morning...

AITA for banning my best friend's kids from my coop after we lost two hens?

Your intentions are good and rooted in care, but a married woman's safety is now her husband's watch to share. Perhaps teach them both to read the radar together.
