me (29F). third date with a guy (34M), going well honestly. nice place, his pick. waiter comes, i order the branzino. he says, to the waiter, not to me, "she'll have the chicken, she said she wanted to try it." i had said, an hour earlier in the car, that the chicken sounded good. i then read the menu and ordered a different thing. i said no, the branzino. he laughed and said to the waiter "she'll have the chicken" again like it was a bit. the waiter looked at me. i said branzino, and then i said actually i'm going to head out, and i left. he's texted twice. the second one said i embarrassed him over a joke and that he was being playful because i'd been indecisive in the car. my friends are split down the middle, which is why i'm here. half say that's a two second thing to have walked out over. half say he did it twice after i corrected him.

Not overreacting. And "you'd been indecisive" is him explaining why you needed managing, which is worse than the original thing.
