AITA for not letting my parents post pictures of my son?
me (31M), first kid, he's four months. my wife and i decided before he was born, no photos of him on any public account until he's old enough to have an opinion. we told everyone. we told them twice. my parents (63M, 61F) posted him three times in the first month. each time i asked, each time they took it down, each time there was a version of "you're being dramatic, it's my grandson." last week my mother posted a whole album from the christening. forty something people commented. i asked her to take it down and she said no. so i said no more photos get sent to them. not a punishment forever, just until we sort it out. i'd been sending maybe five a week. my father called and said i'm using a baby as leverage against his mother, which, when you say it like that, is a sentence i don't love being in. my wife supports it completely, which honestly is the only reason i haven't folded.

Grandmother here. She's wrong. I would be furious and I would still take it down, because it isn't my call and it was never going to be.
NTA. Also, forty people commented — that album is screenshot and reposted by now regardless. That's the actual reason this rule exists.
For what it's worth those photos are indexed and cached the moment they go up. Taking it down is still right and it isn't undoing anything.

NTA but be careful with the framing, baby. Say "photos go back when the album comes down" so it's a door, not a wall. Your father's version only works if there's no way back.
