AITA for kicking my best friend off my streaming setup after his channel blew up using it?
My best friend Mike (29M) crashed on my couch for about six weeks after his breakup, no rent, just splitting groceries. I said sure, use my rig during the day while I'm at work since it just sits there, my PC, my Elgato cam, my mic, the whole setup I've been grinding for over a year with barely 12 viewers average. Well Mike starts streaming during my dead hours and somehow blows up, clips go viral, he lands a $300 small sponsorship for energy drinks within a month. Meanwhile my own channel is exactly where it was. I started feeling weird about it but let it ride since he's my boy and going through it. Last week he mentions casually he wants to keep streaming from my place even after he moves into his new apartment next week because "the setup's just better here" (his words, not mine). That's when I said no, actually, and told him he needs to build his own rig now that he's got sponsor money. He called me jealous and petty, said I'm gatekeeping the exact thing that helped him when he had nothing. Now he's telling our group chat I turned on him the second he started winning. We haven't talked since Sunday.
