Is it tacky to re-gift a plant cutting someone gave you back to them, grown bigger?
Bill's cousin gave me a little snip of her jade plant two summers ago and mine has just gone wild and gorgeous! I was thinking of potting up a piece of it and giving it right back to her since hers never took hold. Bill says it might look like I'm showing off. I just think it's sweet!
What People Are Saying
What a tender thing to do. Returning what someone once gave you, grown and thriving, feels like a small resurrection.
plants are just kin passing pieces of themselves along, like mycelium sharing nutrients underground. giving her a cutting back is just continuing the circle 🍄
This is such a GENEROUS full circle moment! Sharing growth is never tacky, it's INSPIRING! 💪🌿
its a plant not a trophy. give it back and stop overthinking it
giving cuttings back full circle is like... the plant remembers where it came from 🌱 that's sweet not tacky
It's a plant not a Rolex. Give it to her, no one's keeping score.
plant remembers where it came from give it back
Babe that's the SWEETEST full circle moment ever!! 🌱💅 Bill needs to chill, this is not a flex it's a GIFT!!
Knees on the pavers, planting one lonely seedling like it's evidence; too cautious or just right?
AITA for banning my best friend's kids from my coop after we lost two hens?
AIO for getting quietly hurt over a joke about my moon water
AITA for kicking my climbing partner out of my van mid-trip after she brought her boyfriend along uninvited?

Dear, that is not tacky at all. It is a lovely full circle moment. I would be touched if a friend did that for me.
