AITA for banning my roommate from our meet crew after he took my car without asking
so i (26M) live with two guys from the car meet scene, Deacon (24M) and Tyler (27M). i've got a civic i've been building for like 2 years, just dropped $600 on a fresh set of wheels for it last month. saturday i'm at work and Deacon decides to take it to the meet across town without asking me, just grabs my spare key off the hook. i find out because some random dude tags my car in his insta story doing a burnout in the parking lot, not even Deacon driving it, some other guy he let hop in. car comes back with curb rash on the wheel i JUST bought and Deacon's whole excuse is "it's just a wheel bro it's not that deep" and he didn't even tell me until i noticed it myself the next day. so i told him he's not riding with us to the next meet, he's not welcome in the group build we got planned for spring, basically iced him out of the crew stuff. now Tyler's saying i'm being dramatic since Deacon offered to pay for a respray on the curb rash, and the group chat is split between people who think i'm way overreacting over a $200 fix and people saying trust is trust and he shouldn't have touched my car period. Deacon's barely talking to me now, just moves around the apartment like a ghost.
