roommate keeps test-driving my new bits on his friends before I even hit a mic with them
so my roommate (27M) has zero interest in comedy, never been to an open mic, doesn't even like my act (fair, sometimes neither do I). but I leave my joke notebook on the kitchen table because I'm an idiot, and twice now I've caught him retelling MY unpolished bits to his poker buddies like it's just a funny story he thought of. not even crediting me, just "dana said this thing" at best. the annoying part is his friends laugh harder for him than my actual audience does for me last Thursday (brutal set, we don't need to talk about it). I told him to stop touching the notebook and he said he "can't help it if it's out in the open" like I left a snack unattended. now I'm hiding my notebook in the freezer like it's evidence and he thinks I'm being dramatic about "just talking."
