AITA for telling my manager my coworker lied about a family emergency to skip her shift?
ok so i work weekends at a coffee shop, has been my only income since my parents cant help with school. my coworker Jenna (22F) texted me last saturday saying she needed me to cover her closing shift bc her grandma was in the hospital. i said yes even tho i had a chem final monday i needed to study for. i covered, lost like 4 hrs of tip money bc closing shifts are dead on saturdays btw. later that night her bf posted a story of them both at a concert two hours away. same night. i didnt say anything at first bc i figured maybe grandma thing was real and she just left early or whatever, none of my business. but then this week she asked me to cover AGAIN for another "emergency" and thats when i got petty and told our manager (34F) what i saw, showed her the screenshot even. manager cut jennas hours for next month, said it was for reliability issues. jenna found out i said something and now she wont even look at me at work, told the rest of the crew i "snitched over a shift" and made her lose money she needed for rent. group chat is half team it wasnt my business, half team she lied so who cares. its been silent treatment for like 5 shifts now and its so awkward closing with her.
