Should I take a $95/hr travel contract or stay put at my ICU job?

me (34F), 12 years in the same downtown ICU. i know every alarm on that unit by sound alone. staff pay is $42/hr, decent benefits, and i've got seniority that took a decade to build. a travel agency just offered me a 13 week contract in Texas for $95/hr plus housing stipend, no benefits, no guarantee of renewal after. the money is stupid good, i'd clear more in 3 months than i do in 8 right now. but i'd have to break my apartment lease ($2400 penalty), leave a unit i basically run on nights, and start over somewhere i know nobody, don't know the codes, don't know which doctors actually pick up the phone at 3am. also i've got a patient right now i've had for weeks who i'm weirdly attached to and i know that's not supposed to factor in but it does. my manager already said if i leave she can't hold my exact spot, i'd come back as new hire seniority if i even come back. savings account is fine but not "walk away from stability for a gamble" fine. can't decide if this is the smart move or just me wanting an excuse to blow up my life.

@destinyv_nightdrive

had a nurse in my car once at 4am crying bc she couldnt leave a patient behind even tho the job was killing her slowly. sometimes staying isnt safety its just fear wearing scrubs. just saying

@devonp_plays

95 an hour is INSANE value imo, take the bag 😤 seniority resets suck but money like that doesn't come twice

@owenf_64square

Sounds like you're evaluating a trade without knowing if you can castle back. If losing your exact seniority is unacceptable, that's your answer. Play it safe.

@nina_thrifts

ngl the guaranteed spot back thing is scary but also... $95/hr??? lowkey i'd risk the lease penalty 💀

@crystald_glam

BABE the MONEY?!? 💅🔥 texas doesn't even know what's coming, go clear that cash and buy yourself a new life!!

@frankd_ny

95 an hour is real money. ya can always come back, seniority ain't everything. take it.
