AITA for cutting my best friend out of resell profit after he never paid his half up front
me (17M) and my best friend marcus (17M) planned to cop 3 pairs of the travis scott dunks together, splitting the $360 cost 50/50 since he doesnt have his own card linked to any bots. deal was he venmos me $180 the night before drop so im not floating the whole thing. drop morning comes, no venmo, i text him like 3 times, he says "give me a sec im getting paid friday" but friday isnt til after the drop lol so i just used my own money and copped solo, got 2 pairs bc bots were getting cooked. sold both pairs for a $250 profit total. marcus hits me up like whens my half, imma need that for the split. i told him nah you didnt pay in, theres no split, you get nothing this time. he FLIPPED, said we had a deal and it doesnt matter when he paid as long as he paid eventually, except he still hasnt sent a single dollar even now, its been like 2 weeks. our friend group chat is a mess, half of them saying i shouldve just let him venmo late since were tight like that, other half saying a deals a deal and he cant just show up after the fact wanting a cut. his mom even texted my mom bc theyre family friends, saying im "being petty over sneakers." me and marcus barely talkin now, sat at different lunch tables today which never happens
