AITA for exposing my foraging friend for selling my secret morel spot to another restaurant
So backstory, i (34F) have had this morel patch for almost 7 years, its off an old logging road on land i lease access to, nobody else knew about it except my partner. Back in April my friend Dana (37F) asked to tag along cause she wanted to learn, we've known each other since college so i said sure. I even showed her the exact spot, told her its just for us and the restaurant i sell to, Elderflower on 9th, $28 a pound. Two weeks ago the chef at Elderflower mentioned another supplier dropped morels at $18 a pound undercutting me. Turns out it was Dana, she'd been going back to my spot without me and selling to a different restaurant across town the whole month. I confronted her over text, she said "its technically public forest" and got real weird and short with me. I was so mad i posted screenshots of our texts in our local foraging group chat, its like 400 people, laying out exactly what she did. Now half the group thinks i overreacted and should've handled it privately, her husband messaged my partner saying i humiliated her in front of the whole community. Dana hasnt spoken to me since and my sister says i went nuclear over a mushroom patch.
