okay so my best friend Priya (29F) has been my day-of coordinator assistant for TWO years, unpaid experience while she built her own planning biz on the side!! i was always so proud and sent her overflow clients when i was booked. last month i found out she quietly took on a bride i had ALREADY consulted with for free, gave her a cheaper quote behind my back, and never told me. i only found out bc the bride texted me asking why my “friend” undercut me by $2k after our tasting!! 😭 i confronted Priya and she said it’s “just business” and i don’t own every bride in Orlando. maybe true!! but she’s literally supposed to stand next to me in 4 months holding my bouquet and giving a speech and i don’t know how to smile through that after finding out she’s been quoting my leads for who knows how long. i told her i need space and pulled her from being a bridesmaid until i can trust her again, not the whole friendship just the wedding role. she’s telling our mutual friends i’m punishing her for having ambition and now half our group chat thinks im being dramatic before my own wedding 💍
