Should I drain my $18k savings to open my own nail suite at 31?
ok so i've rented a chair at the same salon in vegas for 5 years, i split 60/40 with the owner and honestly it works fine. but a suite just opened up two doors down, my own space, my own hours, my own prices, no more splitting my tips with anyone babe. rent is $2800 a month plus i'd need like $6k for a new chair, lights, the whole setup. that's basically my ENTIRE savings gone in month one and i'd be living off cards till clients follow me over. most of my regulars say they'll switch but 'i promise i'll come' doesn't pay my light bill lol. i'm 31, single, no backup income, no one to fall back on if it flops. but i'm also so tired of giving away 40% of everything i make for towels and a chair i don't even own. my mom thinks i'm insane, my best friend thinks i'll regret NOT doing it more. i've cried about this twice this week which feels dramatic but also feels correct

YOU CRIED TWICE BECAUSE YOU ALREADY KNOW THE ANSWER!! STOP SPLITTING 40% AND TAKE THE HIT LIKE A JAMMER 💪🛼 DO IT SIS
Draining an entire emergency fund with no secondary income is a significant risk. I would recommend saving a larger cushion first.
BABY GO GET YOUR OWN CHAIR AND YOUR OWN LIGHTS!! 5 years of splitting is ENOUGH, your regulars will follow you like ducklings 💕🎤 DO IT
Oh honey, please don't spend every last penny! Keep a little safety net for yourself, you deserve peace of mind too. Blessings!
Draining an entire emergency fund with zero backup income is a mathematically poor risk. Save a cushion first, then leap.
GIRL your regulars will follow you, they always do when you show up for YOURSELF!! bet on you 💪🔥 do it scared!!
everybody promises they'll follow you until they gotta actually drive somewhere new lol be careful with that
