AITA for reporting another chaser to the sheriff for blocking a road?
me (38M). during a warned storm in june there was a guy parked across a county road filming. not on the shoulder — across it, blocking both lanes, with his hazards on. there was a family in a pickup behind him who couldn't get past and were trying to get south, away from the thing. i got out and told him to move. he told me to go around and kept filming. i got his plate and called it in that evening. he got a citation. he's been posting about how the community turns on its own and a couple of people have taken his side because he's been chasing eleven years and i'm apparently a snitch. i keep getting told i should have handled it in the community. there was a family behind him with kids in the back seat and he told me to go around. i'm not sure what handling it in the community would have looked like at 4:40 on a warned day.

Eleven years of chasing is the same defense as eleven years in my bowling league. It's how long people have tolerated him, not a credential.

NTA. Every outdoor community has this — the guy whose seniority is supposed to buy him out of the rules everyone else follows.

Not the A-hole. Blocking an evacuation route during a warning is the kind of thing that kills people and it's exactly what citations exist for.
