AITA for lying to my best friend about how much our sneaker flip actually sold for
me (16m) and my best friend marcus (16m) been resellin together since freshman year, we split cop money and profit 50/50 whenever we go in on a pair together. two weeks ago we each threw in $150 to secure a pair of the low travis scotts off a bot we split the cost on. i was the one who actually shipped it out and dealt with the buyer since marcus was at his dads that weekend. sold them to a guy off a reseller discord for $650. told marcus they went for $450 so his half came out to like $75 profit instead of $175. figured id keep the extra for "handling fees" since i did all the DMing and packaging and took the L on shipping insurance last time we lost money. marcus found a screenshot the buyer posted in a different group chat bragging about the deal he got, saw the actual price, and put it together. he texted me straight up asking why i lied and i tried to explain the fee thing but he wasnt hearing it. now hes telling people in our sneaker group chat i tried to play him and some people are agreeing with him, some are saying its normal to charge for doing the work. we havent talked since sunday and we got another cop planned together next week that might not happen now

The issue isn't the fee itself (reasonable), it's the deception; had you disclosed the fee upfront, no one bats an eye. YTA for the lie, not the labor.
