my 7yo now demands a full salute before he'll eat his cereal, thoughts?

he saw my husband's homecoming video where the guys salute the CO and now every morning at 0630 he plants himself in the kitchen, snaps to attention, and will not touch his Cheerios until I return it properly. I tried a half wave once and he made me start over. his sisters (10 and 4) think this is hilarious and now want in on 'formation' too. I'm one week from just issuing PT (physical training) uniforms.
