my ex texted after 2 months of silence asking to talk in person, do i reply or leave it dead
me (23f) and my ex (25m) were together three years and it ended in march, mostly because he kept saying he needed "space to figure things out" while still doing everything with me. i went full no contact after, blocked him for a while, unblocked last month because it felt petty to keep up forever. last night he texted saying he's been in therapy and wants to talk in person, not to get back together necessarily, just to "say some things properly." no explanation of what things. my two best friends are split down the middle, one says closure conversations never actually give you closure they just reopen the wound and let him back in for another round, the other says i'll always wonder what he meant to say if i don't go. i've been using painting to process the breakup for two months and honestly i finally feel steady again... my roommate says i look lighter than i have in a year. part of me is scared one coffee with him undoes that. part of me feels like i'll replay "what did he want to say" in my head forever if i never find out. i haven't replied yet, it's been sitting unread on purpose since this morning.
Should I accept a dinner invitation from a woman in my book club or stay home?
is it weird to still use the mug my ex gave me for coffee every morning...
AIO for being annoyed she only said lol when i said i missed leg day
Should I give up my own tenure clock to follow my husband cross-country for his job?
