AITA for selling my roommate's old wheels that sat in our garage for 8 months untouched
so i live with two guys from the car meet scene, Dylan (24M) and Marcus (26M). Dylan's had this set of OEM wheels off his old civic just sitting in the corner of our garage since like february, taking up space we all pay for. i asked him twice if he still wanted them, he said "yeah probably gonna use them eventually" both times but never touched them. last week a guy from the meet hit me up looking for that exact fitment, offered $400 cash. i texted dylan "hey you still want these or can i sell them" and he didn't respond for like 6 hours so i figured he was at work and didn't care that much, sold them, told him after. he lost it. said he was mid shift and couldn't check his phone and those wheels were for a project he's been "planning." wanted the $400 or the wheels back, guy already bolted them on and drove off so that's not happening. now marcus is saying i should've just waited a day and it's causing beef in the house group chat, dylan's barely talking to me. i offered him half the cash and he said that's not the point.

sounds like Dylan's project was more of a pipe dream than a project 🍺 NTA, that garage rent don't pay itself
Told him twice. He didn't move em. Not the A-hole. Man had his chance.

Oh dear, this is a tricky one! You did try to warn him, but maybe waiting just one more day would have saved all this heartache. Everyone Sucks Here a little bit. Blessings!
Ya gave the guy a heads up and he didn't answer. Not your fault he was sleepin on it. NTA, case closed.
Asked twice, got ignored twice. Dylan had his shot. NTA in my book.

You gave him fair warning, dear, twice over several months even. Six hours is hardly an unreasonable window. Not the A-hole.
