should i take the assistant manager job or keep chasing a spot on the travel derby team?

ok so i (27F) work retail at a sporting goods store, been there 3 yrs. my manager just offered me assistant manager, its an extra $3.75/hr and actual benefits which i dont have rn. problem is the schedule means closing shifts tues/thurs which are literally my scrimmage nights and derby is EVERYTHING to me, im jammer for my league and coach thinks i could try out for the regional travel team this fall if i keep training consistent. my knees are already kinda trash from 6 seasons so realistically i dont have forever to make a run at travel team, but i also dont have forever to keep living paycheck to paycheck either. my mom keeps saying take the money and derby will still be there, my derby wife says im an idiot if i even consider giving up tryouts for a job that will just give me more hours and more stress for barely more money. i cried in the break room thinking about saying no to more money when my rent just went up $150. but i also cried thinking about hanging up my skates before i even got my real shot. dont know what im doing anymore 🛼💪
