AITA for keeping all the profit from a jacket i found on a thrift trip with my friend?
ok so my friend priya (22f) and i have been doing thrift runs together for like 8 months, we split gas both ways. we never signed anything but we always just verbally split resell profit over $20 if we're both digging through the same bin, thats just been the vibe. last saturday we're at a goodwill outlet and I'm the one who actually dug through a whole cart of junk while she was on her phone, found a vintage carhartt detroit jacket for $6. she was standing right next to me when i found it but she didnt touch it or help look. fixed it up a little, sold it on depop for $180. didnt tell her bc technically she wasnt the one who found it, she was just physically present. she found out bc a mutual friend saw the depop sale and mentioned it in our group chat like "omg nina that sold fast" and priya asked how much and i said $180 and she went silent then texted me privately saying i owe her half since we were together when i found it and thats always been the rule. now shes saying i only follow the split rule when its convenient for me and brought up two other times i technically shortchanged her. i think finding something in a shared bin while shes not even looking should count as mine. she's not responding to my texts and we have a thrift trip planned for next weekend that is now extremely awkward
